Explorations
While Sandra is undoubtedly a perfectionist when it comes to playing her instrument, she also loves to break conventions. Her creative spirit and her openness to innovation have yet so often inspired to take a leap into the extraordinary. Sandra finds her greatest joy at the intersection of innovative education and musical communication. She’s already facilitated harp retreats, harp travels, harp yoga, courses for grown up beginners, morning harp meditations or an underground car park concert.
Often, fine forms of art combine – whether it is culinary art, photography or contemporary art. Through co-creating those experiences, Sandra Macher evokes feelings and a deep understanding for not only the harp, but also the interplay with the self of the listener. In this field, unusual spaces and forms of listening play a big role.
Beyond
the Ordinary
The Circle of Music
The Circle of Music is a new concert experience where audience engagement and the perceptions of the listeners are equally as important and valued as the performed music and the artist herself.
Participative, interactive, receptive, and collaborative - the audience deals very individually and personally with a colorful piece of music that is going to be played three times.
It aims to touch, to inspire, and to open spaces where intuitive reactions to the music can be given voice and shared. Possibly attitudes are going to be questioned, an undiscovered concert place will be exploited, and the harp and its richness of sound will be discovered in a new way.
Exploration
One
arpini is a derivative from the Italian/Latin word for harp, "arpa".
Located in the heart of Styria, in Graz, the arpini harp academy follows a unique pedagogical concept around the harp that ranges from music communication and early music education over harp lessons to excellence and personal expression on the instrument.
As a harp teacher, Sandra offers a completely unique approach with the empathetic and inspiring mentoring and coaching that she provides to her students. As with her concerts, conventional hierarchies are upended in her classroom. She strives to connect deeply with each individual student, embracing their unique qualities and fostering an environment of openness, honesty and limitless curiosity. Arpini’s teaching philosophy is not rigid but rather adaptable and flexible, tailoring methods to suit the diverse needs and abilities of each student. From the very first lesson to achieving excellence, Sandra Macher is committed to guiding her students on a journey towards healthy, successful, and fulfilling musical experiences. She places great emphasis on nurturing and developing their individual skills and talents, providing them with the support and encouragement they need.
